I am so glad you are here! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and I received my training from Rollins College. When you meet me, you will quickly know that counseling is a passion for me. I love what I do and I love to learn about what I do. I am a certified EMDR therapist and have been trained in Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), Mindfulness practices, and Brainspotting. I have several years of experience working in both inpatient and outpatient clinical mental health settings, treating a wide variety on concerns, from PTSD to poor self-esteem to coping with medical diagnoses. I have a special place in my heart for group therapy, as I have several years of experience facilitating psychoeducational learning and process oriented groups. In my therapy, I use a client-focused, integrative approach to meet the needs of each unique individual and to make room for creative expression. I begin my work by creating a strong, therapeutic bond with my clients because I recognize the importance of building and earning trust in the therapy relationship. I believe in every person's potential to heal! I aim to create an empathetic space of non-judgment, to facilitate growth and insight. In addition to EMDR, IFS, mindfulness, and Brainspotting, I incorporate techniques from a variety of other therapies, including Interpersonal Neurobiology, Sensorimotor, and Coherence Therapy. I also place a heavy focus on learning, understanding, and teaching how the brain and the body impact each other. I have dedicated myself as a life-long learner and engage in therapy focused learning regularly to keep my practice up to date, relevant, and engaging. In my free time, I love to spend time creating things and having new experiences with my family. I also love knitting, kayaking, bee-keeping, gardening, and being outside.
